Colorado Tech Weekly #38: C-Level at Mile High and Promising Futures

Colorado Tech Weekly Binary FlagColorado Tech Weekly brings you the top 10  technology stories of the past week and the best upcoming local tech events every Monday morning!

This week brings us yet another COLORADO ONLY CTW post! It always makes me happy when this happens. This Thursday I get to volunteer at the CTA’s C-Level @ A Mile High. I’m really looking forward to it! I’m sure I will be completely overwhelmed. I hope to see you there.

I curate these posts not only to keep myself informed, but also to keep myself motivated and after seeing all the exciting things brewing in Colorado I wish I could start applying for developer positions right now. Patience is a hard thing to have, but it’s nice that there’s plenty of news to keep me motivated.

Colorado Tech Weekly #34: $17.5M of local stories

Colorado Tech Weekly Binary FlagColorado Tech Weekly brings you the top 10  technology stories of the past week and the best upcoming local events every Monday morning!

It’s important that I remind myself when I see these funding announcements that the people receiving these funds are being rewarded for their years of hard work. The companies being funded may be new, but the trust earned by the executive staff of these companies are based off of their reputations for success. They are also being rewarded for their hard work by promises of more hard work. These amounts aren’t gifts. They are investments. One of the reasons I do these posts is to not only keep up with local tech news, but also to remind myself that hard work does pay off. It just might not happen as soon as we would all like sometimes.

Colorado Tech Weekly #30: Marijuana? CES? Drones? Colorado has a little bit of everything

Colorado Tech Weekly Binary FlagColorado Tech Weekly brings you the top 10  technology stories of the past week and the best upcoming local events every Monday morning!

It’s the first Monday of the new year, which means it’s back-to-work time. With Christmas and New Years Day being in the middle of the week, I can understand if you’re finding it hard to focus.

Looking at the headlines this week, it’s impossible for me to come up with a theme for the week. Colorado has a little bit of everything going on. It’s fun to be a part of.

My classes at Regis start back up today. This semester I’m taking Control Structures and a class on Influence and Motivation. Maybe I can figure out how to influence my code to do what I mean and not just what I say.
